IHRIM has supported health information professionals since 1948. Its website brings together the Institute’s role, membership, qualifications, professional guidance and a substantial document library.
Our refresh focused on how that information is introduced and organised. The aim was to help prospective members understand the offer, while giving students and existing members recognisable starting points for their next task.

The live site gives visitors several ways in. The homepage introduces the membership proposition; the navigation separates joining, learning, keeping informed and returning as a member.
Choose how to join
Present Student, Associate, Professional and Fellow categories, with subscription information and links to the application form.
Explore qualifications
Keep qualifications visible in the main navigation and group education documents, syllabi and candidate guidance in the library.
Find guidance and events
Give the library, news and events their own routes, so visitors can start with the task they have in mind.
Return as a member
Provide a distinct My IHRIM sign-in route and explain when library content requires a member login.

The homepage leads with professional recognition, career progression and confidence in a changing health system. It connects that proposition to qualifications, CPD, guidance and the professional community.
The design uses IHRIM’s blue palette, prominent headings and distinct content sections. On mobile, the navigation moves into a menu and the introductory copy takes the full width.

The library groups material by subject and purpose, including qualifications and education, standards and best practice, membership and CPD, and research and publications.
Category descriptions explain what each section contains. A notice at the top asks members to sign in for restricted material, including past examination papers.

The next stage is to hear from the people who use it. IHRIM is giving members time to explore the new site before gathering their feedback. That response will inform the next review; it is too early to report changes in usage or member satisfaction.
