Go Digital

Technology was never the starting point.

Norfolk County Council’s Go Digital programme gives local businesses access to independent digital advice and a practical action plan. thefc has been part of its adviser network since the programme’s first phase in 2020.

The businesses are different. The underlying challenge is familiar: too many possible tools, too little time, and no obvious way to decide what deserves attention first.

Not:

Buy more
technology.

Instead:

Understand the business.
Find the friction.
Choose the useful move.

Advice shaped around reality.

Each engagement moves from evidence to priorities to action: small enough to be achievable, substantial enough to make a difference.

01

Orientate

A structured conversation and digital audit reveal how the business works now: its ambitions, customers, processes, platforms and constraints.

02

Navigate

Opportunities are assessed for value and effort. The result is a prioritised action plan, written for the business rather than the technology industry.

03

Move

Owners leave with practical next steps, suitable tools and the confidence to brief suppliers, use grant support and make progress in the right order.

Two organisations.
Two useful routes.

In both cases, Stuart Forrester worked as the appointed Go Digital adviser, listening first and then helping the organisation decide what to change and why.

01

Consultancy · Norwich

RedCat Partnership

RedCat wanted to grow the consultancy side of its health and safety business, but needed a clearer digital communications strategy. The work helped shape its longer-term thinking, strengthen SEO and social media activity, and turn CRM from a daunting idea into a practical next step.

“Stuart helped us shape our thinking and gave us the confidence to put ideas into action.”

Community venue · Morley

Morley Village & Sports Hall

Bookings had depended on phone calls and email. Go Digital advice helped the volunteer-run venue move towards an easier online customer journey, making availability clearer, reducing administration and opening the hall to more bookings.

“We are four times busier than before the pandemic.”

A plan written to be acted on.

The recommendation might involve a website, ecommerce, customer communications, CRM, social media, remote working or a simpler internal process. It is never a predetermined platform looking for somewhere to land.

The value is not in knowing every tool.

It is in knowing which change matters now, why it matters, and what the organisation is ready to do about it. Go Digital turned that belief into a repeatable practice and became the foundation for Digital Wayfinder beyond Norfolk.
